关于“马克思主义基本原理概论”课程的说明

（仅适用于2020年秋季入学的一年级本科新生）

各位2020级大一同学：

依照教育部颁发的《新时代高校思想政治理论课教学工作基本要求》规定，自2020-21学年起，我校面向秋季入学的一年级本科新生开设思政课程，按照教学安排，“马克思主义基本原理概论”将于2021年1月中旬开始授课，现就课程名称、授课对象、课程性质、授课安排及教材等作说明如下：

1、课程名称：本课程中文名称为“马克思主义基本原理概论”，英文名称为“Introduction to Modern Social Theories”。

2、授课对象：面向2020年秋季及之后入学的一年级本科学生，在此之前入学的同学无需修读。

3、课程性质：本课程为必修课，学生须满足该课程的学习和考核要求方能毕业。本课程成绩不计入GPA绩点，达到课程要求，记为“S”（Satisfactory），没有达到课程要求，记为“U”（Unsatisfactory）。

4、授课时间及安排：本课程将会注册在2020-21学年的冬季学期，课程面授安排在2021年1月13日至1月21日（1月13至14日为全天授课，授课时间为上午8:00-11:30，下午2:00-5:30；1月16至21日授课时间均为下午2:00-5:30）。本课程评定包含出勤、小组讨论或课堂小测和论文三大部分，学生需在2021年3月1日前提交课程论文（具体授课安排及分组情况详见附件）。

5、出勤记录：同学们每次参加课程，入场时需领取签到条，填写相关信息，在课程结束后提交给在场的管理人员，我们将以现场收取的签到条为依据登记同学的出勤情况。

6、教材：本课程使用由中宣部、教育部组织编写，高等教育出版社出版的马克思主义理论研究和建设工程教材《马克思主义基本原理概论》。教材由校方统一订购，免费派发学生使用。自2020年12月29日起至2021年1月15日，学生可直接前往学校书店领取教材，校园书店店址及联系方式如下：

Notice on the Course “Introduction to Modern Social Theories”

(Applicable for Year 1-undergraduate students admitted in 2020-21 academic year)

Dear Year-1 Students,

A new course titled “Introduction to Modern Social Theories” will be offered to you all in the Winter Study of 2020-21 academic year as stated in the Four-Year Study Plan. Please read the below information carefully and ensure that you completely understand the requirements of this course.

1. Course Title: Introduction to Modern Social Theories

2. Target Student: All undergraduate students admitted to Year 1 in the academic year of 2020-21 are required to take this course. Undergraduate students admitted in 2019-20 academic year or before are not required to take the course.

3. Course Category: This is a compulsory course. Students shall complete the course for graduation.

4. Teaching Schedule: Face-to-face teaching will be arranged from 13 to 21 Jan 2021. Students will be assessed by class participation, in class discussions or quizzes and term paper. Students are required to submit the term paper by 1 Mar 2021. For the detailed arrangements, please refer to the attached document.

5. Attendance Record: Students are required to pick up a sign-in paper note at the entrance of the class venue, and fill in relevant information. When leaving the class venue, students are obligated to submit the filled paper note to the staff on-duty. Students’ overall attendance rate will be calculated by the numbers of sign-in paper note submitted.

6. Textbook: Textbook will be provided and be available for collection from 29 Dec 2020 to 15 Jan 2021 in the Campus Bookshop. You may contact the Bookshop directly for any questions on textbook collection.
