Welcome to the School of General Education (SGE). The School is serving as an important platform to promote BNBU’s innovative philosophy of liberal arts education and whole person education. Through our multi-faceted curriculum, students will not only attain bilingual literacy but also adopt a holistic view of historical developments.

    Inspired by the ancient Chinese saying Junzi Bu Qi [A gentleman is not a tool], SGE is committed to promoting students' all-round growth in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor aspects, aiming to cultivate the whole person, who is devoted to both knowledge and deeds with a global vision and national cohesion.

    We provide students with multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning opportunities that enhance their critical thinking, service-oriented leadership, and cultural literacy in ancient and contemporary, Chinese and foreign knowledge. While professional courses enable students to delve into a specific area of knowledge, SGE focuses on a broader scope of learning and the development of a well-rounded personality. Furthermore, SGE tries to stimulate students' interest in multiple fields by providing experiential learning programs, and endeavors to expand their potentials in diverse aspects, including bilingual literacy, physical health, social responsibility, and aesthetic appreciation.
