The Professor Xu Jialu Whole Person Education Award and Scholarship recognizes students with outstanding commitment to whole person development. It is named in honor of Professor Xu Jialu, Chairman of the BNBU Counsel, and former Vice-President of Beijing Normal University and member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress.
BNBU final year students with excellent performance in Whole Person Education (WPE) courses and extensive participation in WPE extra-curricular activities are eligible for the award. The SGE Whole Person Education Centre invites student applications by email announcement in Semester 1 of each academic year, and students should submit their application documents within the given deadline.
Students are selected based on their WPE track record, and the final candidates are invited for personal interviews conducted by a panel of SGE staff. After the selection is completed, the top 20 students are given the award and scholarship, which they receive at the annual BNBU Scholarship Presentation Ceremony.
