In November 2021 the Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center hosted the "China Sports Lottery Cup" Invitational Tennis Tournament with a participation of 14 universities, including Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology, Macau University of Science and Technology, Guangdong Polytechnic, and UIC.

After intense competition, UIC’s Yizheng Huang won the Men’s Singles championship, while Chengyuan Zheng finished fifth in the Women's Singles. In the doubles competition UIC’s Jingyu Fu and Hyunzhi Huo won third prize in the Men’s Doubles, and Hongjiu Zhang and Sirong Wu finished fourth in the Mixed Doubles. In addition, the UIC team was given the third prize of the Team Award.

Mr. Derui Tang, Coach of the UIC Tennis Team, commended the team members for their great effort when facing their opponents, and recognized that their achievements and abilities are the result of hard training. UIC has been offering tennis classes since 2015 and actively promoted tennis among its students. Mr. Tang encouraged students to enhance their sports abilities continuously and strive for better results in the future.
