In November 2021 the Zhuhai Sports Federation organized the 2021 Zhuhai Citizens "China Sports Lottery Cup" Open Table Tennis Tournament with a participation of 60 teams from various authorities, enterprises, institutions and clubs. Similar to the competition mode of the Tokyo Olympics, matches were played as best-of-five games with 11 points per game.

The UIC Table Tennis Team participated in the Men's Group B and the Women's Group B. After two days of intense competition the UIC team won the third prize in the Men's Singles Group B, as well as the Sportsmanship Team Award. The team was pleased with the achievement and will continue to train hard for better results in the future.  

Ms. Yishan Tang, Coach of the UIC Table Tennis Team, hopes that more students will join the team and actively participate in the various table tennis activities on and off campus, to gain experience and broaden their horizons.
