After the launch of the Zhuhai Ecological Civilization University Action Alliance (ZECUAA), the WPEO Environmental Development Center and the Student Affairs Office co-organized the first ZECUAA seminar at UIC on 26^th November 2021. The seminar invited Ms. Jieqiong Luo, Deputy Director of the Policy and Regulations Department of Zhuhai Ecological Environment Bureau, who introduced the purpose, objective, and organizational structure of ZECUAA.

During the seminar Prof. Haipeng Guo, Director of WPEO, reported UIC’s work plan for ecological civilization construction, and Ms. Fanghua Li, Senior Lecturer of WPEO Environmental Development Center, introduced UIC’s environmental awareness course and its related activities. Furthermore, UIC student representatives introduced their ongoing and completed environmental project.

Ms. Luo was impressed with UIC's work and encouraged students to participate in external projects in order to broaden their horizons and gain practical experience. ZECUAA would provide funding for environmental projects, and the Secretariat of the ZECUAA was now collecting project applications.
