On 27^th October 2021 the launching ceremony of the Zhuhai Ecological Civilization University Action Alliance (ZECUAA) was held at Beijing Normal University Zhuhai. Ms. Fanghua Li from WPEO attended the ceremony on behalf of UIC, along with representatives from 9 other universities and colleges. Commemorative plaques of the Alliance were issued to all 10 members of the ZECUAA during the ceremony.

ZECUAA is sponsored by the Zhuhai Ecological Environment Bureau and the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, and aims to promote the concept of ecological civilization among universities and encourage students to participate in environmental activities, and hence foster an ecological civilization system for the city of Zhuhai.

ZECUAA members will organize conferences, activities and projects related to ecological civilization, environmental protection, energy conservation and low carbon footprint. UIC activities are organized by the WPEO Environmental Development Center (contact Ms. Hilda Zeng) and the Student Affairs Office (contact Ms. Aria Chen).
