The Guangdong Collegiate English Speaking Contest was first organized in 2002. The contest helps select the best candidates to represent Guangdong Province to participate in the FLTRP (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press) English Speaking Contest national round held in Beijing in November each year. UIC will host the provincial round contest by the end of Oct and early November for a total of five sub-contests (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Translation, and Interpretation).
