AIMS & OBJECTIVES

This course is a continuation of French I. It aims at developing the four areas of competence (listening, speaking, reading and writing) according to the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for languages) Level A1 (Part 2) and expanding linguistic, pronunciation and communicative skills. To achieve this, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence structure.

CILO

Upon successful completion of the course,    students should be able to:

CILO 1

Apply   grammar, vocabulary and expressions according to the CEFRL (Common European   Framework of Reference for languages) of French Level A1 (Part 2);

CILO 2

Comprehend   basic oral information in familiar   contexts, for example invitations, appointment bookings, times, dates and   schedules;

CILO 3

Engage in   a basic conversation in French, express likes and dislikes, personal opinions   and accept or refuse invitations demonstrating a correct pronunciation;

CILO 4

Read and write simple texts, for example   dialogues, messages, postcards and e-mails referring to present, past and   future situations.
